Our team has a wealth of experience in divorce litigation and appeals; processes alternative to litigation such as DivorceChoice™; premarital agreements; estate planning; and, adoption. We are your advocates. We are your source for creative ideas in structuring outcomes. We know how difficult certain circumstances can be, and we know how to navigate them. We are a firm comprised of attorneys and staff who are dedicated to helping families transition through the divorce experience.

Divorce Litigation

You may not have the opportunity to choose a process other than litigation. Litigation may be the most effective process by which to provide yourself, and your children, with the personal and financial protection you need.

Appellate Practice

Each party has the right to appeal a decision of the trial court. The appellate process requires persuasive legal writing and oral argument skills that are essential when guiding clients’ legal matters through the appellate process.

Child Custody

Our lawyers can assist you in creating a plan that grows with the changing developmental needs of your children over time and which carefully considers future challenges your children may face.

DivorceChoice™

DivorceChoice™ is a process alternative to litigation that provides you with the flexibility to choose from among all your options in creating a pathway to divorce that is specifically tailored to meet the needs of your family.

Premarital Agreements

Only prior to your marriage can you enter into an agreement that contemplates the treatment of assets during your marriage; for the disposition of assets upon death; and, for what you and your spouse will receive in the event that your marriage ends in divorce.

Estate Planning

Estate planning is the process of arranging for the management and disposition of a person’s estate after death. This may include the preparation of a will, trust, and other documents that achieve a person’s desires. This may also include minimizing gift, estate, generation skipping transfer, and income tax. Following a divorce, a review of estate planning is essential. Every newly divorced client needs a new estate plan.

Adoption

Adopting a child can be a significant and joyful undertaking. By formally adopting a child, you are assuming all rights and responsibilities of caring for that child as though you were the child’s biological parent.

Mediation & Facilitation

Mediation and Facilitation are processes in which the parties engage a neutral to assist them in reaching an agreement. The extent of authority bestowed upon the neutral determines whether the process is a mediation or facilitation.

Arbitration

Arbitration is a discreet, informal, conclusive and expedited process which provides the parties with an outcome on disputed issues through a neutral third-party decision maker. The parties are able to select the arbitrator, and, as a result, match the skills of the arbitrator with the contested issues presented.
